I just came back from the cinema... Can't believe the last movie I watched was more than half year ago? And... I can't even remember which movie it was! Is this a sign of aging?
These days, it's really difficult to find companion... even if it's just to watch a movie. Another sign of getting old because there are fewer friends to hang out with?
Anyway I was glad to catch 'Hello Strangers' with my Korean classmate. This is a Thai romance-comedy which was 100% filmed in South Korea. I feel like visiting the country again!

I was watching the Lettuce Couple 쌍추부부 in 'We Got Married 우리 결혼했어요' during my vacation. My Korean classmates had encouraged me to watch this variety show since I like KHJ... I know I know I'm super delayed but at least it's better late than never!
I had just finished watching the farewell episode 38 where 쌍추부부 bid their final farewell at Hallasan. They took 5 hours to reach the peak... at least I know I was humane... As expected, I teared while watching their farewell. Who likes farewells anyway?
In my opinion, 쌍추부부 are really made for each other. KHJ has a rather fourth dimensional thinking... his replies and comments are hilarious and always so out of the blue. So what if the husband 신랑 is 6 years younger than the wife 부인? 'When you are 76, he will be 70', words from Shin Ae-ra changed my perspective of having younger 신랑.
Best summarized by one of 부인's friend at their housewarming...
Just because a man is young doesn't mean that he is not dependable; an older man doesn't necessarily mean that he is someone you can lean on.

I have just returned from the Christmas midnight mass and supper session. I have always enjoyed attending midnight mass and celebrating Jesus' birthday at the strike of midnight.
Amidst the presents, parties and celebrations, the real gift of Christmas is You O Lord...
Thank you for blessing me abundantly despite a tough challenging 2010.

Holiday is good when...

And, playing with my niece and helping her to tie her shoulder length hair!

For the past 2 days, I have been conscientiously editing my photos which I have taken this year and uploading them onto my flickr account before my pro membership expires end December. Pro membership allows unlimited photo uploads and I have not decided whether I want to renew it for 2011.

Finally here!
I just met someone who has started to grow her hair long, specially for her bf. She has always donned a short chic hairdo so when I saw her new look, I was quite shocked.
It's true that most guys in general love ladies with long flowy hair.
Afterall it's the feminine look.
I'm not sure if I will grow my hair for him next time. I hope he will like me for the way I am, including my short haircut.
I just love the way my hairstylist styled my hair... wish I can style like that everyday!
I wish I was in Seoul...
On second thoughts.... I'm glad I'm in town because he's in town!

How can someone put in so much efforts and keep up with her one-sided love for so long?
My first weekend without any classes.
There's no need to wake up early, or to worry about being late for the next class, or packing lunch so I can munch on my way to the next lesson, or to be stressed about students not remembering things which I have taught.
My weekend is back.
But I'm not sure why I'm feeling lost...
The weather these days is extremely warm and humid! At home, I have the fan blowing directly at me.
I was chatting with a KL friend yesterday and he was telling me for once, he is actually looking forward to work this week. Any reason why, I asked?
"Because there's aircon in office!"

I had to teach 3 classes today so I started work early at 7am and was done with the first class at about 5.45pm. When I went out of my student's house, started to search for my Pazzion grey shoes, I couldnt find it. In its place, there was a black pair of Vincci shoes sized 7 that fitted me very well. That's when I realized... my shoes were stolen!!
I was in a daze... Of all my years of teaching, I always leave my shoes outside the house so I was shocked to know that my favorite pair of Pazzion shoes was actually stolen. The culprit had the cheek to leave me a pair of her quite new cheapo Vincci shoes which probably just cost RM$15, not even 1/3 of the price of my shoe.
I didnt want to wear the Vincci shoes, so I asked my student to lend me her flip-flops, even though I will look totally mismatched with my corporate wear.
I dont wish to be evil... but I hope the culprit trips herself wearing my shoes
I was corresponding through email with an ex-colleague who has left the firm a few months back. I was checking in with him, how's things and work and he replied: "Busy but happy."
His word 'Happy' caught my eye and for a moment, I stopped and asked myself if I was happy?
Sometimes, being happy is to have a job, be in good health with no disability, and to have your loved ones healthy by your side. That's all we need to be happy.
I'm happy.

Yet another wedding for this year... I just got to know that my friends in Taipei, Darren and 小倩 are getting married on 11 November.
After their marriage, they will move to Brisbane for 2 years. 小倩will be completing her degree in graphics design and Darren, who is currently a tour leader will quit his job and look for a travel related job in Brisbane as well.
Early congratulations to the beautiful couple! Hope both of you can visit Singapore soon!

Pretty isn't it? My niece wanted her daddy to buy this for me last weekend at the Esplande.
My classes were packed to the brim and every night I have been returning home past 11pm, so didn't get to see my niece at all.
To thank her for the lovely gift, I wrote her a note 'Thank you Adrienne. Yee-yee likes the ballet shoe keychain a lot'. My mummy told me she was so delighted to receive my note and kept showing it to my sister and brother-in-law.
Children.... they are so appreciative of the little things you do... Can I learn to be more thankful of the many blessings too?
I'm in a cab now... travelling back home.
Cab uncle is super friendly; keep chatting with me from road names to new housing estates... I know he's just feeling bored and wanted someone to chat with him.
I'm trying my best to keep awake through our conversation. I just wish he knows I don't feel like uttering a word, especially when I started teaching and talking since 9am this morning till now...
These few weeks have been crazy... Exams are nearing and many students are requesting for double lessons but there's only one me! Nonetheless, I try to accede to each and every request and somehow schedules still fit and complement my office job.
I haven't met my niece for days and tonight I was able to catch her for a few minutes before she returned home. During our conversation, I was telling her that I will see her on Sunday... her reply just melted my heart.... 'Why so long?'
Awwwww...

She's so funny... I was asking her to turn her head so I can capture her ponytails and guess what she did? She just grabbed her ponytails with her hands, one on each ponytail, asking 'Can you see now?' Awww my articulate niece.... so adorable!
My company usually has a company huddle once a month. Everyone will gather on the management floor and my MD and Operations VP will provide update on company activities, revenue and service numbers, and give out anniversary and good service awards.
I don't enjoy company huddles. They are long and I usually have to stand and listen for a good half hour or more, and rarely Marketing gets called or recognized during huddles.
But Friday morning's huddle, I was being singled out a few times... MD called my name to verify the awards which we have won in the APAC region but I was still at my desk so when he called no answer... *Oops*
Then he specially thanked me for arranging the APAC roundtable sessions which I thought was a nice gesture. *Phew* I was there...
The huddle dragged on.... so I sneaked back to my desk to rush some emails... little did I know my MD came to look for me in the midst of the huddle. *Caught red-handed!*
So he closed the huddle by takan-ing me saying that I'm currently helping him put together several presentations and if anyone wishes to send an employee quote, please email me and flood my mailbox!
Hmmm can I request for a larger mailbox space then? LOL
I recently got an out-of-office reply from a colleague who was out last week; couldn't help laughing when I read it:
I am on vocation from 04 to 12 Sep 2010 with limited access to email during this peroid. Please contact my colleague xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.......
My first reaction was to look at my keyboard... O and A are so far apart!
I was contemplating whether to email this blur colleague (mind you she's a director) to correct her error or let her swim in embarrassment.
A close colleague replied me saying... 'Errr but she oready on vOcation worz…'
Indeed... LOL
I was very hesitant to attend my sales director's wedding at Four Seasons on 9 September for a few reasons...
Firstly, I know all senior management staff will be attending and I didn't really want to spend my evening with VPs and directors...
I had to give up teaching that night... loss of income
And... weddings somehow bring sad memories. They remind me of the proposal I had last December and how things had eventually turned out... *sobs*
BUT, I went along and gave my blessings to the beautiful couple (more of obligation than anything else). I had to admit I enjoyed myself and saw the wild side of my MD, his high level close friends and my other directors. We, in fact were the loudest table amongst those present and this brought the celebration to a much livelier one.
Alcohols and wines were free flow! I had 3 glasses of whiskeys, 2 red wines and 1 lychee martini... overdosed! I slept on the cab throughout the journey home and vommitted upon reaching my house. It's been a long while since I drank till I puked.
Hangover!!!!
I wore my toga dress, which was bought online from BonitoChico and it was well complimented by quite a few of my colleagues :)
