Met a uni friend for lunch today... we haven't met for 1 year!
I forgot how we reconnected but it was really sweet of her to give me a belated birthday lunch treat at Prego

It's good to be back home! It wasn't a good journey back from Hong Kong to Singapore... Flight was super delayed and upon collecting my luggage at the airport, I was dismayed to discover a big hole at the back of my luggage! Simply can't believe it's SQ flight I'm taking...
I was feeling frustrated as I have to cancel my evening classes because of everything... Daddy came and picked me up and was waiting for me at BK. While walking towards BK, I heard niece Adrienne shouting from a distance, 'Yee-yeeeeeeeee!'
It's great to be welcomed home by someone you love.
Sadly... that person isn't you...

Overall, my Hong Kong trip was good except for the rain. I managed to meet with a friend whom I have not met for nearly 10 years and my ex colleague was doing a conference at the convention centre just beside my hotel so we managed to catch up briefly.
The roundtable session went well and the directors were happy with the turnout. 2 down and 1 more to go in Shanghai end July!
Though the trip was short, I'm thankful for the wonderful opportunity to travel.

It's a drag to go to work these few days because it has been pouring early morning and the cool weather just makes you want to laze in bed and continue sleeping!
The rain today has flooded Orchard Road! For once I wish I work in Orchard... perhaps in such weathers, business contingency plan can be activated? LOL

I was very honoured because my MD and Sales Director bought me a cake! Though it was a trick initially and to think that my first birthday cake actually came from my MD and Sales Director, it was really a pleasant surprise! How often do you get a cake from the biggest boss of the company?
And surprises continued when I saw a box of cake from my closest colleagues on my desk...
Came home around 10 plus... saw my niece's birthday note to me... nearly melted...
Though it was a working birthday with 2 classes, hardly any time for any celebration after work, it was a memorable birthday. I guess birthdays are not about big bashes or parties anymore but it's these little things which makes you appreciate life!
And yes! My birthday wish did come true :) Thank you Lord!
Just attended my cousin's wedding at T3. It's also niece Adrienne's first experience being a flower girl.
Managed to take a video of her walk in... what a brave girl!
