센토사 팀 본딩!

My company had a team bonding event at Sentosa yesterday. Straight after the Shanghai event on Thursday, my MD, Sales Director and I had to take the second last flight home, just to make sure we are back in time for this corporate event.

For the first time, we brought geocaching to Sentosa. My team emerged overall 4th; much better than we thought we would fare. It's great to know and get closer to a few more colleagues within the company.

Each team was supposed to prepare a team cheer. Ours turned out quite well though we didn't have much time to rehearse *relieved*

I'm on my way to the airport now. Flying to Shanghai in an hour's time... I'm feeling quite excited about this business trip as it's my first time travelling to Shanghai :)

Last week passed so quickly... I was trying to push all my weekend classes to weekday so I can travel over the weekend.

Not to mention Jay Chou was in town for his 超時代演唱會!
How can I miss his concert?

실망했다!

I just got to know that several members of the Marketing team in US and EMEA have been promoted (including my boss). Of course I'm delighted to know that my boss has been promoted to the VP level because she truly deserves it but I also feel sad...

With the acquisition of the competitor's firm earlier this year, I have been tasked to take on the APAC marketing role for 2 companies. Perhaps I have been here for nearly 4 years, I'm also expecting a promotion to come my way soon.

But it didn't...

Now that there are at least 5 promotions within the global Marketing team, gut feel just tells me that it may be quite a wait till the next round of promotion comes.

I haven't seen my niece for 2 days... had been teaching late for the past 2 nights. I was supposed to be home for dinner tonight but something cropped up and I missed her again.

Called my sister's house just now and niece Adrienne answered 'Yeeyee!'
I was surprised she recognized my voice!
'How do you know it's yee yee?'
Can you guess her reply?
'I know it's yee yee because of your sweet voice.'

What a sweet talker!
But I love it :)

Just got news from my boss that I will be travelling to Shanghai to oversee the roundtable session end July. So exciting as I have never visited this city, best known for its skyline!

I have just returned from an award ceremony at the Grand Hyatt. Earlier this year, I had submitted for 2 awards and good news is we managed to win one!


Joyce, a close business partner and I had fun posing in front of the machine camera. I was a bit disappointed because I didn't look at the camera for the last pose! And it turned out to be the largest photo... what a waste!


I was sad to find out that this is Joyce's last project with the association. She's not just a working associate but a very dear friend to me. All the best in your next career path!
