I haven't chatted with my niece for a while as I usually have classes on weekday evenings and during weekends, I'm not home for dinner.
I feel bad because it was her birthday yesterday and I have not even shopped for her pressie! So I asked her what she wanted and her reply was so sweet... 'It's supposed to be a surprise yee yee.'
Before she left, we took a selfie because it's been eons since we last had one.

Saw this lovely friendship band while I was teaching my student just now. Can't believe friendship bands are now back in fashion!
I remember making many of them during the good old school days. Brings back lovely memories.
To beat Monday blues, I came up with rainbow dress code! And my new and fun-loving colleagues are so sporting. Everyone picked a colour of the rainbow and ta-da....we do resemble the rainbow very well right? If only the back wall was sky blue...
Heard so much about Strangers Reunion and the waffles they sell. Finally here with ex colleagues to try them!
I like their brunch more... The waffles were over rated. Quite dry and disappointing. Nonetheless the place was cosy for 3 of us to spend 4 hours catching up and gossiping!

My godfather is not doing too well. Doctor told my buddy Melissa and family to prepare for the worst.
My poor knee... I don't how it was injured but it hurts so badly this morning that I have to go see a physician after my morning classes. Dearie was so puzzled that I did not know I have injured myself without doing anything...
First pay in my new company is in!
It was really good to see an increase in pay ^____^
I guess that will be my only motivating factor in this new company.
Generally the company morale is pretty low. This can't be blamed as the new GM which happens to be my boss is a loud and only talk person. It's sad especially when my ex boss is such a good boss and leader.
Anyhow I will try to put up for a year.
For the sake of my bank account.
I'm back at the Gardens by the Bay! This time with my ex boss Jane. She stopped by Singapore after the Shanghai conference to find a replacement for my role.
I had promised to bring her to the Gardens by the Bay on her next visit to Singapore so got to fulfil my promise!
Somehow my second visit was not as good as the first... perhaps the spring blooming tulips made a great difference!

It was a happy feasting trip in Shanghai!
Managed to try some new foods like the signature desert 酒酿小丸子 and they were really tasty.
And guess what I found in Shanghai?
My favourite 鸭血汤!!!
Joanne and I were really lucky to see cherry blossoms, both pink and white ones whilst on our way to 七宝.
Spring is here in Shanghai!!
I'm taking a short break in Shanghai before I start my new job. For the first time, I'm a tourist in this city, no work commitments!!
I'm looking forward to shopping, eating and enjoying myself for the next few days! Yippee!

Dearie managed to clear 1 week of leave and so we planned a 4D3N to Bangkok! As there was still some political unrest in the capital city, the air tickets and accomodation were a steal!
Actually it's still very safe in Bangkok if you avoid the rioting areas. We enjoyed loads of massages and feasting! I only bought a pair of shoes and 2 skirts. Not much of a shopaholic am I?
I have to attend an awards gala dinner tonight. My new company is sponsoring an award and I was asked to attend it since the CEO will also be attending.
During lunch, I went to have a makeover. How's my new look? ^^

I have officially tendered today. It was not easy telling my boss over the phone. I had to repeat myself twice and not sure why the line went dead and I had to call back in to say the magic words for the third time. She was shocked and told me she was disappointed.
Well I guess she should see this coming as during our last appraisal session, she couldn't promise me any career progression. 7 years is indeed a long time but I'm willing to give it a try at my new job, starting April 1!
Seems like it's a sure sign... even the fortune cookie says so! Wish me luck!!
We finally have the confirmation from Fr. Johnson that he will be celebrating our wedding mass!

Our college group finally meet after such a long while at 1 friend's wedding! Though it was not complete (still missing a couple of our usual click), but nonetheless it was a good get-together!
Hopefully we can plan another 1 soon in a couple of months' time after another friend pops!
