쇼트 할러데이!

I'm clearing my 2006 leave before it gets expired by end May. Tomorrow is Vesak Day, a public holiday in Singapore and on Friday, my office is closed for a company holiday. So I have 5 days of holiday till Sunday!

Some may feel it's a such a waste to stay in town when I can go overseas for a short getaway. That thought did cross my mind but I chose to remain in town. Sometimes it's good to spend time with family, do some napping, watch shows/movies and go shopping for my niece's 1-year old dresses! I nearly forgot it's GSS now!

결혼 축하해요!

I just returned from my secondary school friend aka dancing mate's wedding dinner at Hilton. It was good catching up with people whom I have not met since I graduated.

I was seated with my dancing friends and teacher, one of them I have not seen her for over 10 years. Funny question was popped by my teacher during the dinner. She asked us if we would be willing to come together to perform if she held a concert.

Harbouring thoughts like being able to dance on stage again seems a far away dream for me. I may just need loads of Salonpas!

Key Contributor

I got a pleasant surprise today - my boss handed me this Key Contributor balloon, thanking me for the hard work during the past months. It was a very nice gesture.

It's nearing to 6 months since I joined the company. Initially, I was disappointed as I felt the job was not what it was promised. As time passed, I gradually got the hang of it.

It wasn't so bad.

Lunch is always with my ex colleagues and friends.

Radio is my only companion during office hours.

An occasional hi and bye from colleagues in office waves off slight loneliness.

But I'm thankful I have an appreciative boss and a good leader.

Self Acclaimed Masterpiece!

It's been a long while since I have read Ms. C's DM... An ex colleague sent me her masterpiece today and I realised I didn't miss editing her weak English at all!

Boss in Town

Yes... this week is Vistors' Week! After my Taiwan friend left, my boss from Swindon came to town. She's here for 4 days, leaving Friday night.

We haven't seen each other since last September. She specially flew to Singapore on my second interview. Since I started on this new job last December, we have been corresponding through emails and on calls.

So I'm really looking forward to meeting her again. There's definitely 101 things to discuss and catch up with.
